Nevinson, Christopher (Richard
Wynne) (1889-1946)
English painter, studied initially in London where he was influenced by Impressionism and Post Impressionism. After meeting Gino Severini in 1912 he went with him to Paris where he continued his studies at the Académie Julian and Cercle Russe and met Boccioni, Soffici, Apollinaire and Modigliani and announced hi association with Futurism. |

Newton, Helmut (1920-)
Photographer born and raised in Germany but acquired Australian nationality in 1938. Worked as a Fashion Photographer in Australia (1938-61) then in Paris until 1981 since when he has divided his time between Monte Carlo and Los Angeles, USA. As a leading Fashion Photographer he produced images for the leading publications including Vogue, Stern, Jardin des Modes, Elle, Queen, Playboy and others. His images were sometimes suggestive of an erotic and violent nature. |
