OKeeffe, Georgia
(1897-1986)
An American painter and wife of the renowned art crtic, Stieglitz. OKeeffe was one of the leading figures in the 1920s U.S. reaction against avant-garde European ideas and movement towards a romantic, naturalistic art. She loved painting and was not afraid to paint what she liked without unduly caring what others may think of it. Her great love was the country but she also painted cityscapes of New York "as it is felt" rather than as it is.

Oud, J(acobus) J(ohannes)
P(ieter) (1890-1963)
Dutch architect and urban planner. Trained and worked as an Architect and Planner dedicated to the production of mass housing he was responsible for several schemes of note. His interest in Abstract painting helped him in his Simplified Designs Forms. As a painter he became associated with the influential Stijl Group.

French painter and tapestry designer who initially trained as a portrait painter, then concentrated on still life but is best known as a specialist in hunting scenes, game, and animals.
