Zwart, Piet (1885-1977) Dutch designer and typographer acclaimed Internationally. His works include those made for NKF, the Dutch cable works and for PTT, the Dutch postal service. His advertisements were appreciated for their quality of design as well as being read as messages, poems or advertising slogans.

Zünd, Robert
(1827-1909)
Swiss painter trained under Jakob Schwegler and Joseph Zelger then later, in Geneva, under Françoise Diday and then Alexandre Calame. His work was influenced by Calame but whereas Calame preferred dramatic scenes of mountain peaks Zünd preferred to paint the more tranquil Alpine foothills.

Zorn, Anders (Leonard)
(1860-1920)
Swedish painter, etcher and sculptor studied at the Kungliga Akademi för de Fria Konsterna in Stockholm whilst establishing himself as a painter of watercolor portraits and genre scenes. In 1881 he left the Academy to pursue a career as an International artist. He took up residence in London but traveled extensively in Italy, France, Spain, Algeria and The Balkans, returning to Sweden for most summers.
